Seit ihrem Solo-Debüt im Wiener Konzerthaus im Alter von siebzehn Jahren konnte sich die junge österreichische Harfenistin Elisabeth Plank zur international gefragten Solistin und Botschafterin ihres Instrumentes etablieren. Sie präsentiert die Harfe als vielseitiges und aufregendes Instrument, reich an Klangfarben und Texturen, mit ungewöhnlichem Repertoire und großer stilistischer Bandbreite. Ihr unermüdliches Bestreben das Profil der Harfe zu schärfen und zu erweitern bereichert das Repertoire nicht nur mit Wiederentdeckungen, sondern auch mit zahlreichen Neukompositionen.

Elisabeth Plank was born in Vienna in 1991, and had her first lesson at age seven. She studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna under the tuition of Adelheid Blovsky-Miller and Mirjam Schröder. In further studies she worked with Fabrice Pierre in Brescia.
The harpist also teaches as a lecturer at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and at international masterclasses and workshops, and is founder and artistic director of Vienna Harp Days.
